Hi. . . I'm Jane! I'm a mom, grandma (don't mind that label one tiny bit!), sister and aunt, who believes family isn't restricted to just blood-relatives - long-time, dear friends are family too. And family is everything.
I like to think I'm easy going, open-minded with a good sense of humour. I had two sons and survived their teenage years, so I think that pretty much guarantees I developed those traits!
I was born in Dublin, Ireland and lived in England for 7 years before coming to Canada at the age of 20. I have a slight accent that my sons swear gets a little thicker with each glass of wine. Oooops! Not that I drink a lot, contrary to public opinion about the Irish and their pubs. I work 3 part-time jobs - 2 as sole "admin super-woman" to two completely different types of businesses, and one as a portrait photographer. Good thing photography is a favourite past-time for me! I should say that portrait photography is my strong suit - with a passion for capturing newborns within the first few days after birth. There is nothing like the reaction of new parents when they see the images.
Another favourite past-time is horse-back riding although it is somewhat restricted during the winters here. Good thing I love to travel to warmer climates in the winter! I enjoy a variety when travelling - sometimes it's for the culture, sometimes it's simply a get-away from the snow and doing nothing but soaking up the sun on the beach all day. While I used to be a gym rat, exercise consists of a good long walk these days.
And I've saved the best for last - I have no criminal record; have never stalked anyone; have a brain that works *most* days; reasonably articulate; can be taken out in public (with some notice); not desperate or needy. The bad news is, I hate to cook. (notice how I slip that in at the end, hoping no one notices. . . )
